First International Emergency Medicine Symposium

9th and 10th September, Maputo, Mozambique

I’m part of a team of doctors and specialists from South Africa who are hosting Mozambique’s First International Emergency Medicine Symposium on snake bite, spider bite and scorpion sting. This symposium is set to lay the ground work for further development of snake bite, spider bite and scorpion sting awareness and treatment in Mozambique.

The symposium is being held at the Southern Sun Maputo on the 8th September. On the morning of the 10th we are speaking to the military, and then at the Natural History Museum in Maputo on the afternoon of the 10th. My contribution will be in presenting and hosting workshops on spider bites and scorpion stings.
