Mildly venomous scorpions come in many sizes and colors. They can be identified from the following characteristics:
- Medium sized pincers, medium sized tail.
- Small to large in size.
- May act in an aggressive manner.
- Often reluctant to sting.
During the warmer times of the year, mature male scorpions roam about seeking females in order to mate. It’s at these times when scorpions may come into contact with humans.
A sting from a mildly venomous scorpion would cause Class 1 and mild Class 2 type symptoms. Under normal circumstances, emergency medical assistance is seldom required.
