Ask a question about this product

These powerful torches contain 41 UV LEDS of 395nm wavelength. The torch has two modes of operation.  Mode 1 illuminates 21 of the UV LED’s, Mode 2 illuminates all 41 UV LEDS. Rugged by design, these torches are made from hefty machine metal, waterproofed with rubber seals and watertight switch. Lanyard is attached to the back of the torch. This torch emits a wavelength of 395nm perfect for detecting scorpions. Uses 4 x AAA batteries.

These torches should be used for serious scorpion detection. The powerful UV light produced by this torch gives a wider and more penetrating beam than the 12 LED torch. I’ve used them to great affect in the Kalahari Desert where the terrain is open and scorpions are plenty. When looking for tree living scorpions these torches rule as their wide beam illuminates a greater area at one time.
