Jonathan Leeming of Scorpion Adventures is proud to offer a unique and exciting spider and scorpion course in Planari private game reserve in the Magaliesberg mountains. The course consists of morning presentation, spider and scorpion handling, followed by exciting and practical field work on foot in a big 5 area.
The course cost includes all snacks, drinks, tea, coffee and lunch. Students will also receive 72 page workbook, writing and drawing instruments, mini UV torch and a certificate. Transport within the reserve is by open game vehicle. Big 5 encounters are a common occurrence so neutral coloured clothing only! An armed field guide will escort us at all times during field work.
This full day course is ideal for anyone who is interested in arachnids (spiders, scorpions, amblypygids and solifugids) and would like to learn from a world leading authority. The course provides the solid foundations for understanding and identifying southern African spiders and scorpions. The spider and scorpion handling component is sure to get the blood flowing! Endorsed by the Field Guide Association of South Africa. The Course Includes - Presentation.
