Description

Part of a series of three posters developed for environmental awareness for Siguiri Gold Mine in Guinea (West Africa). This poster is on Pandinus impertor a common scorpion in the area.

Pandinus imperator or Emporer scorpions are common in the pet trade. Searching for information about wild individuals is impossible This poster shows their burrow entrances and the kind of habitat where they live. Contrary to popular belief these individuals are only not found in humid forested habitats. Instead these scorpions burrow at the base of termite mounds which are in or under vegetation in open savana. During the dry season it gets extremly dry and dusty, Their burrows help protect them from the dry conditions.

This version of the poster is in A3 format and optimsied for easy download
