Ever since Miss Muffet sat on her tuffet, mankind has had a morbid fascination with spiders. Often a symbol of evil and death, they have captivated the human imagination for thousands of years. But is their reputation justified?

In this lecture, author, conservationist and speaker, Jonathan Leeming uncovers the facts about medically important spiders in South Africa, how recent research has changed our understanding of these amazing creatures and made us re-examine spiders as a legitimate health threat.

This event is hosted by the Ditsong National Museum of Natural History in Pretoria. Snacks and drinks to be served after the lecture.

There are limited seats for this lecture and booking is essential
